What Is Engineered Flooring

Engineered Flooring is real wood, with the same look and feel as real wood it consists of a layer of finished hardwood about 6mm thick glued on top of unfinished Birch plywood. This plywood can actually add strength to your wood floor.

Engineered flooring can be either nailed down or glued down or fitted as a floating floor on underlay which will provide a sound solution.

Engineered flooring is also more resistant to moisture and is recommended for use with underfloor heating. These floors can also be renovated using a method which includes sanding or buffing the damaged layer and resealing with wax or lacquer which brings the floor back to its former glory.
